Do you find it hard to go out and need some extra support? Are you looking for something to keep you active? Would you like to meet with people who share the same interests? Do you need a break from caring and to do this your family member needs some support?
Our Social Activities program for over 65s can assist with all of this.
Sometimes it gets harder to manage at home and you need a bit of extra support. Or maybe the person you care for needs support to keep more active and join in with others. Being socially active makes a big difference. Imagine the loneliness of not being able to go out and join in a group, not being able to go shopping and enjoy a cuppa with someone. Just having a visitor to chat with can add joy to your day.
Our service can link you to a volunteer or Support Worker to come and visit or join in with your favourite activity. We have a number of activities that you may want to join such as a group outing or rejoining an activity that you like being part of. Our staff will work with you on what you would like to do in the community.
Some examples of our activities include:
Our volunteers and staff have a variety of skills and qualifications to assist you as well as for those carers who can have time for a break without worry. We are open to your ideas and suggestions for joining in all types of activities in the community. Have a look at some of our news and stories to see what we’ve been up to.
