Looking for care+support?

Short Term Restorative Care

A Short Term Restorative Care package is a program of services that our coordinator and the customer put together to improve the individual’s health and wellbeing.

Our goal is to assist you to slow down or stop any decline in your independence. So if you are finding it harder to manage in the home and you would like to see if some short term support including medical or therapy may make improvements this program may be for you.

We organise a team of qualified staff to assist you with your program. This can include:

  • Allied health therapist
  • Medical staff
  • Nursing care
  • Specialist health professionals
  • Trained support worker

Each program is individually tailored to the person to get the most out of the services provided. The program goes for 8 weeks and an Aged Care Assessment is required first.

Recently, Mrs Murphy contacted Clarence Care + Support after she was recommended for a STRC by a local assessment service.  Through this package she was able to receive a specialised physiotherapy program which not only increased her ability to move around her house easier but also be able to move safely in her community.  Mrs Murphy stated  “I am very happy with the improvement I have accomplished and the program has helped me stay focused on what I need to do. It has not only increased the strength in my lower limbs, but I feel much more confident walking around my house and in town”.

Under the package our staff organised for Mrs Murphy hydrotherapy classes, a specialised physiotherapy plan and some home modifications to assist with her access around her home and into the garden.
