Under the NDIS one of the services that Clarence Care + Support offers is Plan Management and Financial intermediary.
The NDIA describes plan management as a support that ‘ focuses on strengthening the participant’s ability to undertake tasks associated with the management of their supports. This includes building financial skills, organisational skills, and enhancing the participant’s ability to direct their supports and/or develop self-management capabilities.
Plan management is the overall management of the plan and includes assisting the participant to select providers, develop service agreements, paying providers, developing monthly statements for participants and claiming payment from the NDIA’.
Financial Intermediary is when Clarence Care + Support provides financial assistance for the payment of providers on behalf of the customer. This includes claiming from the NDIA on your behalf and then paying the provider once you are satisfied with the service provided.
